Start point: Marshfield layby

A short walk along Marshfield High Street and into Cloud Hill woods. We will have with us a walker who is skilled in Bird Song. Consequently, the walk will be a slow pace while we stop to listen. Please note the earlier start time of 09.00

POSTPONED – Crickley Time Machine – A 170 Million Year Journey

Difficulty: Moderate Duration: 2 hours Distance: 3 miles

Start point: Outside café area, Crickley Hill Country Park, Crickley Hill, Birdlip GL4 8JY

Our journey starts in the balmy seas of Middle Jurassic with the Cotswold Limestone, then moves to human settlement during the Neolithic, an Iron Age hillfort and Roman occupation. Along the walk nature and cultivation will be encountered, with tales of adders, toxic plants and dew ponds.

Around the Cam Downs

Difficulty: Moderate Duration: 3.0 hours Distance: 6.0 miles

Start point: Park at the rear of Coaley Parish Hall. Coaley is situated about 2 miles north of Dursley.

A stroll through the fields around Coaley and Cam Long Down, with one long but not strenuous climb. Includes a circle of the Peaked Down and a visit to the summit to see the Bluebells.

Unless otherwise indicated, all walks by the Voluntary Wardens are free of charge however donations are very much appreciated.

PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Sorry but only assistance dogs are allowed on walks. Warden Leaders will take all reasonable care and precautions but each walker is ultimately responsible for their own safety, and for determining their capability to complete the chosen walk.
