Two Valleys from Bradford on Avon
A gentle climb through Barton Country Park to Westwood, on to Iford and through woods beside the River Frome to Freshford. Return along the Avon to Avoncliff and the Crossed Guns Pub , then along the Canal back to the start. Please bring a picnic lunch - pub drinks and toilets at Freshford.
A circular walk from BoA along the canal at first, climbing steadily uphill through Barton Farm Park to West wood and down to the bridge over the River Frome at Iford Manor. The walk then follows a path across fields and up through woods adjacent to the River Frome past Freshford Mill until emerging at the inn in Freshford. The return Path takes us by the River Avon to Avoncliff and the Crossed Guns pub. We follow the canal back into BoA and the start. Lunch at Freshford where drinks and toilets are available at the pub. Not suitable for pushchairs but families very welcome.
