The Ancient Forest of Wychwood

Back to Guided Walks page

This walk now cancelled due to heavy rain forecast and ground already sodden.

A pleasant walk, hopefully with Autumn colours, in an area once covered by the ancient forest of Wychwood. Learn about the Forest Charter and its importance to local people of the time. En route we pass villages, parkland and a fine medieval church. Please bring a packed lunch.

Please note that although this walk appears as strenuous in The Lion it is actually at the easier end of moderate. THIS WALK NOW CANCELLED DUE TO HEAVY RAIN FORECAST AND ALREADY SODDEN GROUND.
