Starting in the pleasant village of KIngham this walk focuses on the River Evenlode which inspired two writers in the early 20th Century. Also there is the opportunity to visit a church which features in Simon Jenkins' book England's 1000 Best Churches. Lunch options in nearby Chipping Norton.
If there has been excessive rainfall parts of this walk will be boggy
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (01451 862000) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
