Keeping to the Contour [apart from a slight dip], the walk gives all round views into the valleys around Bath. Almost stile free [3 vertical stone slabs which can be sat on and slid over!] Please bring a picnic lunch. Drink stop at pub only. Not suitable for pushchairs.
Wonderful views and a chance to see the work of the Cotswold Voluntary Wardens in maintaining the footpaths and dry stone walls. A visit to Battlefields House, off the Public Footpath is possible.
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (01451 862000) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
