East of Bath Circular – Hope and Homes Charity walk.

The walk takes in the Nature Reserves at Bannerdown, Chilcombe Bottom, and the NT Little Solsbury Hill before dropping down to cross the Kennett and Avon Canal at Bathampton. Please bring a packed lunch. Refreshments together afterwards at the Community shop.

Starting on the outskirts of Bath [Frequent No 3 bus route from Bath, only 4 miles from the City centre] ,this walk starts and ends with some fascinating social and industrial history in the making of Bath and the strategic importance of the villages East of Bath. The usual Countryside Fund collection will be donated to the Hope and Homes Charity.

This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.

PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
