Coffee Walk No. 3, ‘Hard Walk to Heaven’

Meet for coffee at 10 am. The walk starts at 10:30 and takes us east across the Stroudwater Canal, via The Heavens to Nether Lypiatt. We return via Brimscombe and the canal. Fine countryside and an interesting walk along the restored canal. Lunch available locally after the walk, if required.

This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.

PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.

Starting Point: Winston’s Ice-cream Parlour. Rodborough Common. Rodborough Common lies to the East of the A46 between Nailsworth and Stroud. Bear Lane is the nearest access point from the A46. Suggest use of Winston’s web-page to locate the start point more easily.
