A repeat of the first walk by the Wardens? We pass the Pound, the Windmill site and Pillow Mounds to go past Little Sodbury Manor/Old Church to the Hillfort. Then the Cotswold way to lunch stop in the leaders garden. Then the Frome Valley walkway back to the start. Please bring a packed lunch.

Park in the town Car park or Main street as there may be spaces as it is Sunday. We walk through The Ridings Sports area, past the Pound, out on the Common past the Windmill site of. Out to Jubilee Way over the Common to Harwood Gate Farm (on edge of mediaeval deer park). Footpath straight to Little Sodbury Pillow Mounds, past Manor House and old Church to Hillfort. Cotswold way to Old Sodbury Church and mediaeval fishponds, down to The Dog and new information Board. Down Chapel Lane to lunch at the Leaders house (Tea and Coffee provided). After lunch back up Chapel Lane to Frome Valley Walkway past new aqueduct and tunnel mouth, over the A432 and back to the start along the walkway.

This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.

PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (01451 862000) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
