Five Valleys Walk

Back to Events page

The circular route through stunning Cotswold countryside is split into sections by nine checkpoints and you can start and finish at any of them, allowing you to walk as much or as little of the route as you like. Better still, once you’re tired of walking, Stagecoach will be there to offer you a FREE bus ride back to your original checkpoint.

A special year  to celebrate the centenary of the birth of sculptor Lynn Chadwick, this year’s Five Valleys Walk will include a one-off detour through the stunning Lynn Chadwick Sculpture Park. Access to the park is usually by strict invitation only so this is a really unique opportunity. Plus, with entertainment, food and drink along the way it’s going to be an exciting day not to be missed.

Meningitis Now exists to save lives and rebuild futures by funding research into vaccines and prevention, raising awareness of meningitis and providing support to people whose lives have been affected by the disease. All of the money raised through the Five Valleys Walk will be used to help fund their fight against meningitis in the UK.

The Five Valleys Walk is a 21 mile sponsored walk which takes place in the heart of the Cotswolds. The route takes in each of Stroud’s beautiful five valleys - Painswick, Slad, Toadsmoor, Chalford and Nailsworth, and is split into nine sections, so you can do as much or as little as you like. Stagecoach will be there to offer free shuttle bus rides back to your original destination too!

Toilets and refreshments are available along the route, including snacks from local businesses and beer from local breweries. There will even be children’s entertainment at checkpoints along the route, particularly Dudbridge to Nailsworth, which is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Dogs are also welcome on the route.

Tickets are discounted in advance and cost £25 family ticket (up to 2 adults and 2 children), £10 adult, £5 child. For more information call Tammy O’Neill on 0845 120 4530.
