From the village of Cherington the walk progresses over open country to Tetbury where there will be a lunch & pub drink stop. The return passes through the centre of the town to Chavenage House then uses the MacMillan Way northwards via Avening. Please bring a picnic lunch.
A walk over rolling Cotswold landscape to Tetbury returning to the head of Avening valley. No really steep valley paths.
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (01451 862000) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
