Cycling

Cyclists love the Cotswolds, with its excellent views and winding lanes with drystone walls and and abundance of wildlife.

There are plenty of facilities with pretty village pubs and tearooms and a wide range of cycle routes to suit all ages and abilities.

One of the Cotswolds greatest secrets is how good the area is for off road cycling. The network of good tracks designated as byways and bridleways makes off road cycling one of the best ways to discover the area. You can cover a fair bit of ground in a ride and still find the secret places inaccessible to cars. Click here to find a new series of off road rides.

It is possible to book a guided cycling tour for a couple of hours or a day, or as part of an organised holiday where your luggage is transported separately.

If you don’t have a bike you can to hire one locally. Click here for a list of bike hire and cycling holiday companies.
