Forestry & Woodland Working Group
The Forestry and Woodlands Working Group advises the Conserving and Managing Sub-Committee on the implications of a range of issues within the Cotswolds AONB. These include the impact of Regional Forestry Frameworks and the work that the board should be doing to help deliver actions in those frameworks.
The working group is also required to identify actions that have been proposed for other organisations within the AONB which could help to deliver the Conservation Board’s objectives.
The role of the group is to; pool and share expertise generating new ideas and being a catalyst for action; address the management issues of woodland, parkland and trees in the Cotswold landscape and encourage sustainable management; implement the Forestry, Woodland and Trees section of the Cotswolds AONB Management Plan.
